The 2015 NFL draft is still largely up in the air, as teams at the top are not quite sure what direction they’re going to go. As we get closer and closer to the draft, it will be easier to predict what teams are thinking. Here is a look at five players who have the potential to go very early.
Nothing is decided just yet, but nearly all the experts feel like Winston is going to be the number one pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Tampa Bay desperately needs a franchise quarterback, and he looks to be the best option. There are going to be questions about his maturity and his high total of turnovers a season ago at Florida State, but he has the arm strength and the competitiveness to be a star.
Across the board, Williams has been rated as the best overall prospect in the 2015 NFL draft. He has a chance to go to Tennessee and be a star player at defensive tackle right away. The franchise has a few other needs, but it will be hard to pass up on such a true talent.
Dante Fowler Jr.
Once again, Jacksonville has a top-five pick at their disposal. He is a very excellent pass rusher, and Jacksonville definitely needs that type of talent on the defense. The fact that he would get a chance to stay in state after playing well at Florida is icing on the cake.
People were amazed with Kevin White at the NFL draft combine, and that has propelled him into the top five. If the Oakland Raiders have a chance to take him with the fourth overall pick, it will be very difficult for them to not get him. He is a guy who has size and speed, and he could become one of the best wide receivers in the game.
While the first four picks look solid, Washington has a few different options to consider at number five. Ray had a great career at Missouri, and he should play pretty well at the NFL level. Randy Gregory and Vic Beasley are other legitimate options for them.
